    appearing November 27, 1969 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.  On Thanksgiving 1969 the Stones gave their first ever performance at the famous Madison Square Garden.  It was Jimi Hendrix' birthday and it is well documented that he visited the Stones backstage.  There are unconfirmed reports that he ALSO joined Ike and Tina for two songs on stage that night.  However, it IS well documented that as Ike and TIna were finishing up Tina saw Janis Joplin standing by the side of the stage and called her up to come sing with her.
