It comes in camo colors that you can apply one layer at a time to get a custom camouflage pattern, or mix together for a more realistic blend for your particular hunting or fishing area. You can apply it direct to metal and use it as a topcoat, or use it as a primer and apply the topcoat of your choice over it. This easy-to-use, water-based polyurethane can be applied directly to properly prepared substrates using a brush, roller, or spray gun. No need to etch the aluminum or prime first, which saves time and effort. You'll also finish faster because Aluminum Boat Paint dries extremely fast—overcoat in just 1 hour at 72°F, without sanding between coats. Before applying the final coat, wait 12 hours, sand lightly, and remove residue. Let the final coat dry for 48 hours, and you're ready to put the boat in the water. Aluminum Boat Paint can be used above or below the waterline on boats that float in fresh or salt water. This , chromate-free paint has an extremely low VOC content of 75 g/L, and very little odor.
