    Description

    Up for sale is a the legendary Alpine CDA-7949 Japan made sound quality deck in very VERY NICE condition.
    Was only used for a short time in a competition vehicle that was sponsored by Orion NT and Sound EFX that did most of the custom
    High Dollar
    and High Profile installs for Orion back in the day.
    This CD unit works perfect and proper and is 100% functional. Brand New OEM Laser was installed and was COMPLETELY checked and gone
    trough by Jeff's Professional Audio who is one
    of the very few authorized Alpine repair centers that knows these units well. Jeff's has been in business
    for over 30's and again knows the 7949's very
    well.
    Legendary Alpine CDA-7949 CD deck. These units were absolute top-of-the-line back in the late 90's / early 2000's. They had advanced features like a copper-plated chassis to minimize electrical interference, 3 sets of pre-outs, one each for front, rear, and subwoofer, BBE sound equalizing, etc. This was THE deck to have as the features and above all the sound quality were far superior to anything on the market. This thing was way ahead of its time and if you had a competition-level car audio system, you probably had this deck. In terms of sound quality, this unit will beat pretty much everything on the market today. PLEASE NOTE: this deck does not have a built-in amplifier, so you will need an external 2 or 4-channel amp to run your speakers/subwoofers.
    This is considered one of Alpines flagship CD players and were considered by most just behind the 7909 and the CDA-7990 F1 for SQ (Sound Quality),
    It is a high end SQ (Sound Quality) competition head unit for the serious audiophile. The head unit design and features were way ahead of it's time. It is a pre amp head unit. This means, that you would need an amplifier to power up the head unit.
