HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
The first International Womens days were held at the beginning of the 20th century. They were celebrated in Europe, but seemed to make way for Mothers Day in the UK and the USA.
The celebration focuses on general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women for their economic, political and social achievements.
The official celebration day is March 8th.
