    Description:
    A nice fairly large wood clip. This clip which looks like a giant clothe pin has a metal spring and is lacquered on both sides. The top of the clip has decoration consisting of the image of an ancient Egyptian deity possibly Osiris standing in a colorful blue attire. There is also part of a table showing hieroglyphic symbols with letters. This is a clip to be used to hold mail or paper on a desk top. This decorative paper holder, mail holder, or art clip has a resistance spring that allows it to hold papers very tight. The entire piece is made of wood and is nicely decorated. This piece was probably acquired by a tourist at a gift shop in Egypt during a visit to that interesting country. The back of the clip is flat, plain, smooth, undecorated, unmarked, and is nicely lacquered. The spring is strong and closes tightly. Just a nice looking piece that would look great in your collection or provide a nice conversational subject.
