Item Description
A neat vintage letter opener with a commemorative medal of I believe the first hot air balloon ride(s).  The year celebrated is 1783.  Marked on the back 1992 MMA for Metropolitan Museum of Art I believe.  Medal is just shy of 2-1/8" across, letter opener just a bit more than that.  Some wear and tarnishing overall.  Minimal finish wear.
