Vintage Slingerland marching bass drum
Here is a 26” x 8” bass drum. Both heads are plastic and in fair condition. The drum was likely used in July 4
th
parades and other events by the Cairo Temple for many years in Rutland, Vermont.
I’m selling this drum in “as is” condition which, in view of its age and usage, I’d describe as fair. Although I haven’t opened it up to look inside, the shell, tension casings and tension rods appear intact. One of the hoops is damaged but should be reparable (see photo #8).
The drum will ship in a hard case inside of a box. The straps on the case need replacement but the fiber material is in good shape. See photo.
If you don't want the hard case, the price of the drum is the same but I'll subtract the difference in shipping cost as the box will be a few pounds lighter. Generally on an item of this size, dimensions are more important than weight but shipping will probably be a few dollars cheaper.
