Description
Vintage WILLIAM MEDCALF Artwork from CASE Equipment CalendarThis item is not dated, but is believed to be from the 1940s or 1950s. Mr. Medcalf was a popular artist of the time!
One side shows a vintage scene, in full color, of several farm implements, a barn, and people both old and young! (See photos #1 - 4.) The other side is done in bluish tones, and features a small town street at the holidays, with a vintage car and truck and a family of shoppers. This side has "Greetings" printed on it. (See photos #5 - 8.) There are at least 3 references to CASE altogether. (See the close-ups in photos #3, 6, and 8.)
The artist identification is in the lower left of the full-color side. (See the close-up in photo #2.)
There is some wear to the edges, and there are signs that thumbtacks were used in each corner. (There is a hole from the thumbtack, plus the outline of the thumbtack can be seen. See photos.) There is some staining, mostly on the side with the bluish tones, as can be seen in the photos. It's still a beautiful view of a slice in time, from either side!! Happy to provide additional photos, or answer any questions, upon request.
Measures approximately 10 inches by 8 5/8 inches, and is printed on heavy card stock.
This has been in my family for many years, and comes to you from a smoke-free and pet-free environment.
