Vtg Eagle EVINRUDE Outboard Boat MOTOR Advertising Promo Lapel PIN Insignia

Up for bids is an interesting VINTAGE ORIGINAL EVINRUDE OUTBOARD MOTORS ADVERTISING INSIGNIA PIN.  It is approximately 3/4" tall and reads EVINRUDE MOTORS.  The top has the bow of a wooden boat cutting thru the waves.  The bottom has an eagle.  It has red and blue enamel on a "silver" colored metal.  I'm not sure what metal is used as it is not marked.  The back of the "pin" has a THREADED POST.  The screw on "clasp" is marked HOOKFAST PROVIDENCE R.I.  The style of clasp and post suggests this insignia would have been worn attached to a uniform hat or thru a button hole rather that puncturing thru the fabric.  It is in excellent condition with nice crisp details.  The picture does not do it justice. It's a unique little pin or insignia for any fan of vintage Evinrude boats and motors.
